My Story
My journey started 7 years ago when I received the diagnosis that no woman wants to hear - Stage 3 Breast Cancer. 7 years later, after a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, DIEP Flap reconstruction and several additional reconstruction surgeries, I am cancer free, feeling healthy and strong! I attribute much of my life saving treatment and recovery to Susan G. Komen's ability to aid cancer research by funding grants focused on understanding breast cancer biology, developing new therapies and finding ways to detect the disease more effectively.
I will be walking, once again, with Team Johnson and Johnson on October 5th at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.
