Next month, I?ll be walking in the Susan G. Komen 5K in Orange County ? a milestone that feels nothing short of miraculous. Just eight months ago, I was finishing 12 rounds of chemotherapy and could barely walk to my treatments. Now, I?m getting ready to walk a 5K ? something I once considered a "fun, short walk."
From 2000 to 2006, I participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walks (60 miles over 3 days), raising thousands of dollars to support their mission of education, outreach, and research. I never imagined that, two decades later, I would personally benefit from the very treatments and therapies this incredible organization helped fund.
This year, I walk not just as a supporter ? but as a survivor and I?m walking with my amazing team: Michael, my family, and friends.
Please consider supporting us as we continue the fight against breast cancer. Your contributions help fund life-saving research, increase awareness, and support early detection ? all crucial in the journey to find a cure.
Every day, nearly 700 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with breast cancer ? that?s one woman every two minutes. Let?s do everything we can to change that.
You can join the Ker Fight to Fight team as a walker or as a donor. We would love to have your support.
