In July 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer on my husband?s birthday. Hearing that diagnosis is traumatic as so many thoughts run through your brain. I was blessed as it was diagnosed early and I had knowledgeable and supportive people beside me. Although there were a couple of bumps, I had excellent treatment
I had my first surgery a few weeks before the Komen walk. Since I hadn?t begun radiation, I was able to do the walk and help fundraise with this community and their mission to end breast cancer. I plan to walk again on September 28th. Let me know if you?d like to join me!
