January of 2023 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 HER 2 Triple Positive Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer that had move to my lymph nodes. I started aggressive chemotherapy and could not have kept a smile on my face or kept working during this time if it was not for the love and support of my family, friends and colleagues. This year, July 31st I celebrate my 2 YEARS since my double mastectomy, this was the first day of my being a survivor even if I had bonus chemo after for a bit.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
