Why I Walk
I have been a part of the Komen Community for more than 25 years. It started back with Lucky Stores and our Race for the Cure Walk, then moved into walking in the 60 mile (3- Day Walk) for 11 years with my mom, sisters and friends. Now as the Team Co-Captain for AVPink I am privileged to walk with my co-workers and friends to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. This is personal to me as I have many family members and friends that have been impacted by this horrible disease. I know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their life.
I walk in the hopes that my nieces will never have to experience this, I walk because I cannot walk away
