My Story
I first did the Komen DC Event (then Race for the Cure) the year after my Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (over 25 years ago). Since then, I have only missed this event once, the year Mom took us all on a trip she'd wanted to take Dad on but never did. I will be participating again on October 11th.
Over the course of all of these years, I've seen friends bravely battle (and beat) this disease, but I've also lost friends to it. Although we've come a long way, we still have a ways to go to ensure that everyone has access to the diagnostics and care that they need and also to ensure that nobody loses their life to breast cancer in the future.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me over the years. Because of YOU I've been able to contribute at least $30,000 towards these goals. I thank in advance, anyone who is willing and able to donate this year. Every dollar matters.
