I am a Community Board member of the DMV Tri-State Komen Affiliate.  I previously was on the Maryland Komen Affiliate Board and Executive Committee for six years.

I believe in the work that Komen does

both at a National level, and more importantly at the local level. For example, in the last fiscal year, the DMV affiliate 

• provided 1,770 services to 1,476 people in this area;
• Komen navigators provided 700 services to 506 people in this area; and
• Komen Financial Assistance provided assistance totaling $277,600 to people in this area for expenses of daily living.
