My Story
On May 15, 2025, I discovered a lump during a self-exam. That moment changed everything. It was quiet, surreal, and oddly empowering—because I listened to my body. And because I had the resources to act.
I’m now in treatment for breast cancer. I have excellent insurance, a supportive job, and a family that lifts me up daily. I know how incredibly fortunate I am. But I also know that not everyone is.
That’s why I’m sharing this—and why I’m walking.
On October 11, 2025, I plan to participate in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk, even while undergoing chemotherapy. I may be slower than usual, but I’ll be walking with purpose. For those who can’t. For those we’ve lost. For those still fighting.
Why Komen?
Susan G. Komen is the world’s leading breast cancer organization, investing nearly $3.6 billion in research, advocacy, and community health programs across 60+ countries. They fund breakthroughs in treatment, provide direct patient support, and fight for systemic change through public policy. Their mission is bold and clear: to end breast cancer forever.
✨ How You Can Help
If you’re able, please consider donating to the Komen community. Your support helps ensure that others—those without insurance, without a safety net—can still feel the blessings of care, dignity, and hope.
And if you’re local or feel inspired, I’d love for you to join me on October 11. Walk beside me. Walk for someone you love. Walk for a future without breast cancer.
Together, we can turn personal battles into collective victories.
