Our Story
Last year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. While I was fortunate that it was caught at Stage 1, nothing could have prepared my family and me for the difficult decisions and experiences that lay ahead in fighting an illness that has taken so many.
My grandmother always emphasized the importance of early detection, and that wisdom became the first thing that saved me. Because of my family history, I pushed for more advanced screening and it made all the difference.
Throughout this journey, our community of family, friends, and even strangers connected by shared experience - became the army behind us.
I walk because no one should ever have to face this battle alone or face it at all. In continuing my grandmother’s legacy, I walk in hope of a cure. And until that cure is found, I walk to help ensure more people become survivors.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
