My Story
No one wants to hear the words “you have cancer” come out of a doctor’s mouth. And no mother wants to hear “Mom, I have breast cancer”. At the age of 36, my daughter Becky was first diagnosed – and then told the cancer was all gone; and then 6 years later hears the dreaded words – “it’s back”. Becky is currently on Plan B – and it is a tough road. But with the support of friends and family and inner strength – Becky is looking forward. She is not alone on this path. On Oct. 11th she will be walking side by side with family members, friends, and participants of the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. It is our goal to not only increase awareness but to also raise funds to help fight breast cancer. I am not going to lie – watching her go through another round has been heartbreaking – it was so unexpected. As Becky’s mom, I am so proud of my daughter, for she is taking the steps needed to fight this beast of a diagnosis. I plan on walking with her on October 11th in Maryland. Please join me in supporting her by making a donation. Thank you
