'Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the month' said the great philosopher Mike Tyson.  Well true to form, we had a nice year of fun lined up until my wife Becky was diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer in February.  Suddenly the lifelong plan we had envisioned for ourselves and our beautiful blended family was in shambles.  Becky did everything right after her initial diagnosis and surgery, and yet the cancer still came roaring back.

But after the initial shock, we put together our 'Plan B,' an aggressive counter-punch of chemo, surgery, and radiation.  We made lifestyle changes, devoured the latest advances in treatment, and meticulously planned out each day in response. Becky was amazing in her persistence, tenacity, and dedication to her health, family, and civil service to our great nation.  We are still in the fight, and I am with her every step of the way.

We are joining fellow cancer fighters, survivors, caretakers, and loved ones at the Susan G. Komen walk on October 11th.  Our family will walk proudly by Becky's side.  Please consider joining our team and donating to the cause that one day, cancer will be taken out.
