My Story
This year, I?m walking in the Komen 2025 DMV Tri-State MORE THAN PINK Walk in honor of my mom, Roberta Iris Schwartz, who passed away from breast cancer in 1995. I was only 8 years old.
One of my most vivid memories is going to a Komen event in downtown Baltimore with her while she was in remission. She was gregarious, hilarious, and kind to everyone - and I carry her spirit with me every day.
I?m also walking for my friends and their loved ones who?ve been impacted by breast cancer. This cause is deeply personal, and I believe in Komen?s mission to end breast cancer for good.
If you?re able, please consider donating to support my walk. Your gift helps fund research and provides real-time support for people going through treatment - from emotional help to financial assistance and care navigation.
Every step we take brings us closer to a world without breast cancer. Thank you so much for being part of this with me.
