I was diagnosed with breast cancer December 2020 with no genetic markers and no family history. After a lumpectomy and 20 rounds of radiation, I was cleared. Every year I would be scanned and biopsy's told me it was just scar tissue. By May 2024 they said the cancer had returned. After months of doctors’ deliberations, I elected for a double mastectomy. Double Mastectomy with reconstruction was October 24, 2024. My exchange surgery is coming soon.
