My Story
First of all I want to say I?m sorry for not letting everyone know what I?ve been dealing with since March 2023. After being cancer-free (or so I thought) for over 10 years, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC). I had originally been treated for Breast Cancer in 2013. I was initially just so scared I didn?t do much beyond sit on my couch for a year. I started having scans and taking the maintenance meds, and so far, the news has been good. I am currently stable with just a few spots of cancer in my lungs and liver that have continued to remain small, with no spread to my bones. It?s taken another year to get back to being totally physically active, but I, thankfully, feel completely back to my old self and I am playing a lot of golf and even started horseback riding lessons.
This year, I registered a team for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I hope you will help me. I would love it if you wanted to join my team, Nancy?s MBC Marchers, or just consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those like me who are facing breast cancer today. Whether it?s emotional support via Komen?s helpline, financial support through Komen?s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for me and new patients every day.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today?
