My Story
Dear friends and family,
This year, for the 4th year in a row I have joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk.
As some of you may already know, in the summer of 2021, I was diagnosed with stage 2, grade 3 breast cancer which had spread to my lymph nodes. I had NO signs or signals that this was happening inside of my body. I felt completely fine, no reason to worry (or so I thought). I went for my annual mammogram, as I always did, and there was nothing normal about my results. I was shocked, confused, angry and most of all scared. We never think this will happen to us, even though we know others who have been diagnosed and battled this awful emotional and physical disease.
I was one of the lucky ones, who had wonderful doctors, nurses, friends, family and community to help me navigate and "walk" this path with me. But not everyone is. There are people who don't have the same access to resources and they need our help. That is why I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let?s show breast cancer patients there?s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today?
Also, if you are able, please join me in the walk. I hope to have your support.
