Breast cancer doesn't stop for politics

The 2025 Susan G. Komen DMV Tri-State MORE THAN PINK Walk will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025. I’m registered and excited to participate, both as a walker and a member of the Organizing Committee. The MORE THAN PINK Walk is Komen’s largest fundraising event series and evolved from the Race for the Cure in 2018.

I’m deeply passionate about Komen’s mission to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.

This year, more than ever, Komen’s mission needs our support. Breast cancer is a medical issue, not a political one, yet politically-driven funding cuts threaten to adversely affect breast cancer patients and research.

Your support helps us make up for the funding cuts and get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.

Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
