Today, I stand with gratitude and hope, celebrating over 11 years as a breast cancer survivor. This journey has been one of strength, faith, and the unwavering support of my family and friends, whose love lifted me up during the hardest days, and their encouragement kept me going.

One of the ways I honor this journey is by participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. It’s a powerful experience to walk alongside fellow survivors, families, and supporters — all united in the fight against breast cancer. This walk is not just a moment of reflection, but an opportunity to give back, raise awareness, fund research, and save lives.

I am especially passionate about raising awareness in minority communities, where disparities in access and education can mean later diagnoses and worse outcomes. I encourage everyone — especially women of color — to prioritize their health, schedule annual screenings, and seek assistance or support if they find something concerning.
