My Story
I was diagnosed with an ATM (ataxia-telangiectasia mutated) gene mutation in February of 2024. With my new diagnosis and a family history of breast cancer there was an 87% chance that I would end up with breast cancer. I made the choice to have a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery in June of 2024. Taking my risk from 87% to 2%. I have had two reconstructive surgeries, one in October 2024 & one in February 2025.
With a mother who is a breast cancer survivor and a close family member who is currently a thriver fighting the fight against cancer, my dedication to raising funds for breast cancer is not just a professional endeavor; it's a heartfelt crusade fueled by love, hope, and the desire to make a tangible difference. Hope reminds us that every step we take, every dollar we raise, brings us closer to a world where no one must hear the words 'you have breast cancer.'
Let's rally together and honor the fighters, admire the survivors, support the thrivers, and never give up hope for a cure. Together, we are stronger, and together, we will make a difference.
