My Story
A year ago, my mom’s life changed with one routine appointment. She had always been diligent about her annual mammograms, especially after losing my great-grandmother to breast cancer. Thank goodness she was, because that test found something unexpected.
At just 49 years old, my mom was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Because it was caught early, she was able to get the care she needed before it could become something more dangerous. That mammogram saved her life.
This past year has been filled with challenges, emotions, and deep gratitude. I’ve seen firsthand how vital early detection, research, and support are for those facing this disease. That’s why I’m walking—to honor my mom’s strength, to raise awareness, and to help fund the resources that give families hope.
Every dollar raised helps fund life-saving screenings, groundbreaking research, and essential support programs for those affected by breast cancer. Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference.
Thank you for your support!
