My Story
On November 3, 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive mammary carcinoma. Thanks to early detection, some of the best doctors on the face of the planet and the unwavering support of some of the most amazing friends, I am proud to say that I was able to ring the bell on July 18, 2024 and have had my first clean mammogram and MRI since.
This year, I joined the Susan G. Komen community and registered for the MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am committed to Komen’s mission to end breast cancer for good. I’m reaching out to my incredible network for support. First, please encourage every woman you meet to get their annual mammogram or, at the very least, do regular self-checks. If I had been doing self-checks, I would have caught my cancer earlier. Early detection does save lives—it saved mine.
Second, I ask that you consider making a tax-deductible donation to #StrongerTogether, the team I’ve formed for the MORE THAN PINK Walk on Sunday, May 18. With government funding cuts, cancer research is more crucial than ever.
Third, even if you can’t donate, please think about walking with my team. Together, we can continue to spread awareness and make an impact.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. We are stronger when we work together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Please consider joining me in this fight to end breast cancer! And thank you for your continued support.
