Walking for Lisa, Walking for Hope
15 months ago, our lives changed forever. My daughter Lisa—just 31 years old and a brand new mom to her baby girl, Isla—was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of the disease.
Since then, Lisa has bravely endured 16 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, 15 rounds of radiation, continued immunotherapy, 2 hospitalizations, and now 8 rounds of oral chemo. This July, she’ll undergo a second surgery. Through every challenge, she’s shown more strength and grace than I can put into words.
Our incredible friends and family have stood by us every step of the way. Your love and support have meant everything to us—and we are endlessly grateful.
While Lisa’s been fighting, I’ve committed myself to learning everything I can about breast cancer. I’ve seen the life-saving impact of research and the critical role that organizations like Susan G. Komen play in supporting families like ours.
On May 18, I’ll be walking in the 2025 Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk in Pittsburgh—once again in honor of Lisa’s continued fight, and in honor and memory of everyone affected by breast cancer.
This walk is about more than just miles. It’s about raising hope, funding research, and providing real-time help—from treatment and medication to transportation and emotional support.
If you’re able, I’d be deeply grateful for your donation to this cause. Every dollar brings us closer to a world without breast cancer.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for standing with us.
With love and hope,
Kathy
