My Story
On January 25th, thousands will flock to downtown West Palm Beach to “paint the town pink” in a celebration of survivorship and continued commitment to eradicate breast cancer! For the 17th consecutive year, I’ll be leading my Team K-Dog and reflecting on my 17+ years as a triple negative breast cancer survivor. In 2019 I had the great honor of being a Warrior In Pink and launched my first fundraising campaign. Thanks to all of you, each year since has been better than the last, and I look forward to continuing that tradition!
As you may recall, I ask for the nominal donation of $12.03 (in honor of December 3, 2007 - the date of my first chemo treatment aptly declared “first day of the rest of my life”) or whatever number has meaning to YOU!
I dedicate every campaign to my fellow survivors, and especially my survivor angels. The effects of this disease and the long term consequences of the treatments so many of us have undergone to preserve our lives stay with us forever. When you donate to Komen Florida, you’re helping support us throughout every step of that lifelong journey and ultimately making sure you & your loved ones don’t have to endure the same challenges.
So while every day is a celebration, I take this time of year to celebrate the fact that apparently I’m supposed to be here. And if you’re reading this, so are you! Let’s make the most of it and make it better for those battling breast cancer.
Thanks as always for your support!❤❤❤
