In January of 2024, Tracy went in for her first routine mammogram. An unusual finding led to an ultrasound, biopsy and eventually a triple negative breast cancer diagnosis. Although Tracy’s two masses are small, triple negative is the most aggressive, fastest growing form of breast cancer. Tracy has completed her first round of chemotherapy and undergone her mastectomy procedure. Unfortunately, the biopsy results from her surgery showed residual cancer. She will now begin another course of chemo, this time a more aggressive form. This was unexpected news, but our girl is now ready to power through it and keep fighting.
As a member of this team, we are each playing a part in helping Susan G. Komen® in their mission to end breast cancer forever.
The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us. United together, we can support those who need help today, while fearlessly searching for tomorrow's cures.
