My Story
This year, I continue my support of the Komen community and registered my team, Just A Bunch Of Boobs and myself for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. In 2000, my journey began with what was to be a baseline Mammogram. It detected a small area of concern which was DCIS, ductile carcinoma in situ. AKA early Breast Cancer. After 2 lumpectomies including lymph nodes, followed by 6 wks. of radiation, I was deemed Breast Cancer free. What a glorious couple of words. I joined the Komen walk that year and in doing so have appreciated just how lucky I was/am. My battle was blessed with early detection and great team of doctors. Many are not so lucky. Since then I have committed to participate and help raise funds every year to help those who are in need and hopefully can be blessed with years of being CANCER FREE like me.
I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today?
Love to walk? Come join my team and walk through Balboa Park, one of SD's treasures.
