Put your dukes-up, Breast Cancer!
This year, breast cancer has attacked a dear family member who is fighting her fight so bravely and with more optimism than I can imagine possible. I can't take away her pain. I can't make her less nauseous or more comfortable. I can't look her daughters in the eye and tell them not to be scared. But I can walk. For her, and for her daughters, I walk to bring awareness, resources, scientific research programs, and a CURE.
I have, once again, joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am excited to share these steps with some of my Powered by Optimism friends from years past.
