Last year on July 18, 2023, I lost my beautiful sister-in-law, Amy Takayama-Perez. She was 47 years and had been diagnosed with TNBC (Stage 3 Breast Cancer). She did everything right and put up a fight but unfortunately it metastasized to her bones…She left behind a husband (Rick) of over 25 years, and two beautiful children (Kalea 24 and Kai 21) in addition to her Mom, Dad, Brothers, Family and Friends. She was the most amazing person you would want to know. She was a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Auntie, Friend, Mentor and so much more than I can describe right now because of the emotions I feel. 

On Sunday, I walk for AMY and all others that lost their battle, to raise funds and awareness. Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
