Paddy's Story
My mother, Patricia (Paddy) Simpson was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, just weeks before Maya (pictured above, now age 14) was born. My mother faced her diagnosis and treatment as the brave, resilient woman she always was. She educated herself, faithfully followed the recommendations of trusted health professionals, and surrounded herself with family, friends, and a sisterhood of breast cancer survivors. She was one of the “lucky” ones; her cancer was caught early, and after radiation and chemotherapy she reached full remission. The year, the MORE THAN PINK Walk, takes place on October 27th, my mother’s birthday. This is one of the many signs that her spirit is with us.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my family’s fundraising efforts. Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Breast cancer affects all of us; join my family in the fight!
