My Story
To celebrate my one year anniversary, I have registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk.
I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast cancer in my left breast in June 2022 which led to mastectomy and lymphadenectomy surgery on August 1st 2022. Then came the 20 weeks of Chemotherapy from October 2022 to March 2023 followed by 6 weeks of radiation in April/May 2023.. I could not have got through it all without the support and love of Dave, Callum and Emilie, families in the UK and Canada and friends..
I had my first reconstruction surgery earlier this year, my second and final surgery is scheduled for 5th September. I can finally put this horrible journey behind me. My 1st year survivorship is October 3rd 2024 .
