As a 12-yr blessed breast cancer survivor, I rejoined the ONE Komen community and registered my team for the 3rd year, Catherine's Crusaders for the Cure, for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk, taking place on Saturday, October 26th in Atlanta.

As a survivor, I have an unwavering passion for helping others in need, and this event holds a special place in my heart.  With the generous donations from family, friends and my amazing team’s donations, Catherine’s Crusaders for the Cure, we ranked #10 out of 491 teams in last year’s fundraiser, raising $8,637.20 for breast cancer research and support!  Together, we can continue the fight against breast cancer and support those affected by this disease.

Breast cancer in young women is usually considered as breast cancer occurring in women younger than 40 years old & is the most frequent cancer-related cause of death in these patients.  In the past few years, there has been an increasing trend in the prevalence of breast cancer in young women, which, associated with poorer prognosis, more aggressive histologic features, & more frequent recurrence rates, makes it a rising threat to young women!
