As a member of this team, we are each playing a part in helping Susan G. Komen® in their mission to end breast cancer forever.

Each team member has their own personal reason for being here for this event this year. The main one is for our family and friends who have had and survived this battle, and the one who has had and sadly lost, her battle with breast cancer. All of us understand the importance of the fundraising and support Of these events and are hoping that you will join us in supporting us along our journey. 

We're walking this year in remembrance of our loved one, Karen Roten, who wanted to do this event for her mother, Barbara Roten; her Great Grandmother, Pearl Leonard; her Great Aunt, Janice Davis, and her Adopted Grandmother Vicki McCombs whom all have battled and survived breast cancer in some form. She was the first one of us to think of doing this and her passing in August 21st of 2022 has set this walk for this team in motion. Please support us and help make her dream a reality.

We are also walking for our family members and friends: Carrie Basinger- our Guardian Angel, and Kathy Stauser, Audra Ferguson, and Mrs. Anita - a dear friend to all in the store I work at (Han-Dee Hugo's #232 in Kannapolis, NC) whom are all Suvivors.

Ending breast cancer needs all of us. United together, we can support those who need help today, while fearlessly searching for tomorrow's cures.
