I was lucky!  I had access to amazing medical care when I was diagnosed with breast cancer this past year. 

I was lucky, for early detection which gave me a fighting chance and treatment options.

I was lucky to have an amazing support system of family and friends to help navigate the scary times. 

I was lucky to have a supportive and understanding work environment that allowed me to continue working while in recovery .

I am lucky to have an incredible husband who has organized his place of work to participate in this year's Susan G Komen pink walk this October.
