ASKING FOR YOUR HELP IN ENABLING MORE SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES LIKE PAM'S
As many of you know, Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall, and has been receiving treatment since then through the Mass General Cancer Center at Newton Wellesley Hospital. We feel very blessed that her diagnosis allowed her to avoid the significantly more arduous chemotherapy treatment, and that her long term prognosis is excellent.
Without the tremendous team of doctors and caregivers who took extra care and time with her, to insure an accurate diagnosis, and make her feel as comfortable as possible through the entire process, it would have been a much different experience. This fundraising effort that I have undertaken here is to help in some way to insure that the tremendous work being done to combat this disease, and to provide the necessary support services which help patients navigate their diagnoses, continues and improves.
Susan G. Komen is the only organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts, such as research, community health, global outreach, and public policy initiatives, in order to make the biggest impact against this disease.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
