My Why
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductile Carcinoma with Lymph Involvement at the age of 38. No history of Breast Cancer or Cancer in my family. The news completely pulled the rug right out from under me, and my life was altered forever. My son was 2 years old at the time, and the thought of not being around to see him grow up terrified me. As scared as I was though I kept smiling, not for me, but for my loved ones. They too were on this journey of unknowns, it affected us all.
I am incredibly grateful for not only living in Boston and having access to the BEST Cancer Care around, but to Komen for all the support they showed me then, and how they cheer me on now!
As a Breast Cancer Survivor and Advocacy Ambassador, I have registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them, just as they were for me.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today?
