Why I Walk
Again this year I am fortunate to be able to walk for me, for you, for all of our loved ones who are with us in spirit, and for those who are not physically able.
My breast cancer journey began three years ago and every day I fight. Every day I have HOPE, every day I try to stay positive. Every day I seek new strategies and treatments for my specific cancer so that I can continue to feel good and remain on this earth to raise our teenage son and love my family who support me both near and far.
I have metastatic breast cancer and I would not be here today if it were not for the love and support of my friends and family. I am blessed to have a husband who is unconditionally supportive and by my side for every treatment, scan and office visit. I am blessed to have a caring teenage son who is kind and caring and asks me every day how I am doing. I am blessed to have friends and family near and far who provide me with emotional support and love 24/7. I walk for all of them, but most importantly, I walk and ask for your donation of any amount so that fewer of you find yourself in my shoes.
