As a member of this team, we are walking in support of one of our cherished classmates, Chris Myers from the Class of 2025.
In 2023, Chris was diagnosed with a rare form of stage 3 breast cancer. Prior to joining CU Anschutz's Anesthesiologist Assistant Program, Chris dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Throughout her time in our program, Chris has been a beacon of hope and positivity for patients, preceptors, classmates, and everyone she encountered. Her warmth and compassion has touched countless lives.
This year, Chris' courage and resilience throughout her healing has continued to inspire us all. As part of our Anesthesiologist Assistant family, we feel compelled to rally around her during this challenging time.
While we walk in Chris' honor, the money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us. United together, we can support those who need help today, while fearlessly searching for tomorrow's cures.
