Jags Go Pink

Our Story

Jags Go Pink is a student-led club at Rock Canyon High School dedicated to bringing awareness and support to those impacted by Breast Cancer. In particular, we look to provide a sense of community for women who are currently struggling with Breast Cancer and develop opportunities for school and community to get further involved.

Our club began last year, led by our two presidents; Amelia and Claire. From there our club has expanded immensely to the current registration of nearly 80+ girls. But our impact is not simply confined to our number of participants, as we have worked to expand beyond our classroom walls and work with profound organizations such as Susan G. Komen.

Susan G. Komen is led by an unbreakable group of women and men who look to redefine the enclosures of Breast Cancer. Breaking down multiple barriers, aid in the pioneering of research, recovery, and support. As Jags Go Pink looks to further the youth's understanding of Breast Cancer and ways to combat it, this organization provides us with multiple opportunities. We are walking with them this year in hopes of supporting and encouraging the multitude of women currently undergoing any struggle regarding breast cancer.

We walk in honor of all the women who have persevered or are persevering through the struggles of Breast Cancer. We have all witnessed our Mothers, Teachers, and Role Models persist through continuous surgeries and treatments as they continue throughout life. The girls of Jags Go Pink want these women to know that they are not alone but rather supported by this generation's rising youth. We watch in awe as these women fight fiercely and without remorse against Breast Cancer.... their beauty and grace are never fleeting!!

We hope you join us in this cause and donate in honor of all women impacted by Breast Cancer! -Jags go Pink
