In 2008 our good friend Linda Monson, mother of Abby Monson - Tardiff, was diagnosed with breast cancer. To heighten awareness, support Linda and raise funds to research breast cancer, we started this walk as an extension of the Komen Race for the Cure in Denver. This is to support all of our friends fighting and surviving all types of cancer. We want to offer the people in this area the opportunity to experience the walk in a less crowded, neighborhood-friendly manner.

 We are dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and we need your help.  Please join our Willow Creek Cancer Crushers team and come join us on Sunday Oct. 6th at 8:45 am at the Willow Way Clubhouse 7700 S. Willow Way and walk the 5K route. This date is different than the Komen walk due to Fall Break for schools. There is no longer a registration fee, please donate to our team here or bring cash or check to donate on-site. If you donate at least $100 online you will receive a T-shirt in the mail the week prior to the event. Brings friends, kids, and dogs on leashes. Add a fundraiser to your social media so your friends and family can donate as well. You can also donate and not join the walk!

Your support helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and aid those facing breast cancer today who need our support.  Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
