In Honor of My Mom
In August of 2023 my mother, Robyn Lorenz, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. As a result, my mother decided to have a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction, leading to multiple months of recovery. Throughout those months I witnessed my mother pursue through grueling pain with determination and sheer hope in a strong recovery. From helping her drain her tubes to watching them regain mobility in her upper body, I realized how devastating breast cancer truly is. In the following August of 2024, my mother is now cancer-free, and I am more passionate about bringing awareness to Breast Cancer than ever.
My experience with my mother prompted me to join Jags Go Pink and allowed me to empathize with and truly support women going through Breast Cancer. I walk with Susan G. Komen because I want women to know that many generations are behind them, in awe of their strength and beauty. Cancer diagnoses are extremely isploating, but these events allow women to be in an upbringing community!!
