My Story
On 8/8/24 I was in Las Vegas celebrating my 10 year wedding anniversary and rejoicing that one year to the day was my husband's open heart surgery. That same day I discovered a lump in my breast. Fast forward to 9/3/24, diagnosed with stage 2B, triple negative, invasive ductal carcinoma. I am very familiar with this annual walk as one of my dearest friends, Beth, is a badass survivor of breast cancer.
I will admit I did not take getting annual mammograms seriously, I had the mind set that it wouldn't happen to me because no one in my family has ever been diagnosed with breast cancer.
I am hoping to raise money for more education, more research and more hope.
