THANK YOU to all my dear friends who have supported me in the MORE THAN PINK Walk!!! I was able to hit my original goal of $350 in two days because of your generosity! So in honor of Jules, I’ve increased my challenge to $500 which will be final goal. Please consider to donate, no amount is too small, as it all adds up to help with research.
This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk, in memory of my dear friend, Julie Hemauer, who sadly passed this past April. She fought a hard fight the first go round of breast cancer, but unfortunately, it came back with a vengeance this past January and took her life, four days before she was turn to 60. She and I were planning to celebrate turning 60 together this year. I’m heartbroken that we will not be able to celebrate…together. I’m very saddened that Jules is not with us any longer. She was so young, and such a vivacious, loving person who had so much light and positive energy to share. She was an amazing business entrepreneur and was a true fashionista! She left behind her husband, Joe, along with three grown children, Justin, Samantha and Jerod. I’ve learned from Jules passing that “time is a gift, we must cherish it!” I’ve also had very close family and friends who have fought cancer and some are considered “cancer free” and some who are still fighting to be considered “cancer free.” I walked this walk last year for a friend who was battling breast cancer and thankfully she has survived. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
