The matriarch of our family (Mavis, Mom, Memaw) was initially diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2017.  She fought through a mastectomy, chemo, radiation, and an incision that took years to heal. Over a decade later, it reappeared in her spine, and in 2020, she went home to heaven.  Through it all she never failed to lean on the mercy and strength of her faith in Jesus. She faced it all with Grit and Grace! 

In August 2023, I too received a diagnosis of breast cancer. Mine was found very early at stage 1. As a result of my advocacy for additional screenings, it was found in my very first breast MRI. I want to bring awareness and encouragement for all women to advocate for themselves.

The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
