This year, I am celebrating my 25th year as a BCA Warrior. Back in 2000, when I participated in my first Race for the Cure, I was thrilled to meet long-term survivors – and now I am one! During the intervening years, I lost many friends to the disease – but also met life-long friends through my volunteer time with Komen Bay Area. That’s why I am participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk.
