My Story
She was ironically diagnosed with Breast cancer in October which is Breast Cancer awareness month. For those who know my mother you know she is a tough and stubborn lady- more stubborn than tough. She went through so much and was a fighter. She kicked cancer's ass after surgery, chemo, and radiation.
Due to the family history, this past year I was tested for the BRCA mutation. It was a scary thing to test for knowing that the BRCA mutation significantly increases the chance of breast cancer as well as other forms of cancer. I am happy to report that I do not have the BRCA!!
It is extremely important to support research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today. It is extremely important to be proactive about your health and the health of those you love!
