In 2023 I was told “you have breast cancer.” I was fortunate to be surrounded with the best medical team and the love and support of family and friends.  Through the years I've had several family members and countless friends diagnosed. It hurts to count how many have been impacted and it hurts worse to count how many I have lost.

I am grateful and happy to share that I have recovered from my surgical procedures as cancer free, as well as my daughter, and as of this summer we are both SURVIVORS.  Early detection truly saves lives.

I am a firm believer that screenings and genetic testing should be available to all patients. I walk to find a cure so that in the future, no one will lose a loved one to breast cancer. I walk to help those who are suffering. I walk for the people who can’t because they are too weakened by treatment to join.  I walk for those we have lost as well as for the previvors.
