My Story
This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk to support my 38 year-old daughter Julie. Julie was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer earlier this year. She has gone through weeks of chemo and then surgery. She soon will start radiation. Julie is doing well but she still has a way to go on her journey to being cancer free. She has been my hero throughout this journey. She has been positive and strong not only for her self but for her husband and 3 year old daughter. She has also been active on social media telling her story and encouraging others to do frequent self-examinations. I am so proud of her and am looking forward to walk with her next month!!
