My Story
26 years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and considered myself a survivor. I faithfully counted the years every March 14th and would tell close friends and family what survivor year it was.
This January, I was diagnosed with breast cancer again on the other side. I have finished the chemotherapy part of my journey and now I'm receiving immunotherapy treatments til April 2025 to get to the status of "survivor" again. All this time, I have been a member of the Susan G, Komen organization and have donated to the cause for a cure. And let me tell you, a lot of good, significant things have changed in treatment options, etc. over these past 26 years.
Please help me raise a bit of money for the organization and sponsor me in a 2.7 mille walk taking place in Manchester, Vermont this fall. I will still be traveling down my own 1 year road, but I know participating in the More Than Pink Walk will help the many people facing breast cancer today, and in the future.
Thank you. Love and health to you all!
Susan Herrmann
