My first Komen OC Walk in 2018 was an incredible, meaningful, experience—and one that I will never forget. Treatments were done, I was feeling great, and it was finally time for ME to make a difference. My first walk followed an emotionally and physically exhausting journey. Words cannot adequately describe everything I felt that day—the joy of being alive and feeling strong, the music’s energy and the crowd’s support, raw emotion and tears crossing the finish line. It was the culmination of a long, hard year full of fear, determination, invasive treatments, triumph, and complete uncertainty in things I used to take for granted.

Now, as Captain of my walk team, “Dana’s Rack Pack”, I joined the Komen community and registered for the 2024 Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk.
