Every year, my mother and I participate in the More Than Pink Walk to pay tribute to our beloved matriarch, who succumbed to breast cancer when my mother was just a child. This disease robbed my mother and her sisters of the chance to know their biological mother, and it denied me the opportunity to meet my grandmother. We walk in honor of Gloria, remembering those who have lost their battles and showing our support for those who continue to fight.
Each step we take is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and love that binds our family and countless others affected by this disease. The More Than Pink Walk is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a movement, a community of warriors standing together in solidarity.
As we gather on September 28th, we invite you to be part of this powerful experience. Whether you walk, run, or simply cheer from the sidelines, your presence makes a difference. Together, we can support groundbreaking research, provide crucial patient services, and ultimately, move closer to a world without breast cancer.
Let’s lace up our shoes, pin on our pink ribbons, and step forward with hope and determination. Join us in celebrating the lives of those we’ve lost, uplifting those in the midst of their battle, and cheering on the survivors who inspire us all. Your participation, your voice, and your commitment matter.
Come, walk with us. Let’s make every step count.
