My Story
Years ago I lost a friend to breast cancer. She was a law school classmate and a young mother in her early 30s. Two years ago I was diagnosed with it. I am doing well thanks to the advancement in medical treatments. I have participated in the walk before but this year I am am walking with greater appreciation than ever for this organization.
I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I named my team (you?) "Canary Alert" because Canarys historically helped miners with early detection of bad air! It is also important to catch breast cancer when it is in its earliest stages....
I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever and for all, and I want you to be aware of this opportunity to remember the women in your life who have survived breast cancer and those who have not by making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
