I am excited to bring Lucetta’s Village back together at the Susan G. Komen: MORE THAN PINK walk on Sunday, September 22nd.
I remember the first year after my mom’s passing walking in memory of her I’ve also walked in memory of my great-aunt and in honor of my best friend’s mom. It is surreal to think that I am now walking in honor of myself along with several friends who have been diagnosed since the last time I walked. One in every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer!
If you would like to join me in the fight against breast cancer, please register on team Lucetta's Village to walk in support for those previously diagnosed and to help prevent another diagnosis.
FYI…there is a strong chance that I will be unable to attend as I am undergoing another surgery on September 20th as part of my breast cancer treatment journey. Who knows…maybe I will make an appearance with a wheelchair. Either way, Dave and the kids will be there and I’m hoping to have my village show up to walk in my honor and support my family who continues to endure so much.
The money raised will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer screenings, diagnostics, treatment assistance and so much more.
We're stronger together. United as ONE, we can support those who need help today, while fearlessly searching for tomorrow's cures.
